- This has been the goal of the seminar was sponsored by the Center for Gender and Women Studies last July 21, 2009 at the UP Manila Social hall. The 1-5 PM seminar was conducted with Central Administration Employees of the University of the Philippines Manila. It was facilitated by the Director of CGWS, Dr. Anthony Geronimo H. Cordero.
The seminar focused on rights and privileges everyone has ever since one acquired life. This is the history on how to develop our self-esteem and/or confidence. An individual should think that she/he has rights and privileges, so each should be assured that her/his existence is important. As for the development of communication skills, it spearheaded the importance of the goal in communicating and learning. The final message of this seminar has been coined by the facilitator several times during the activity - that these topics are just guidelines on how to develop an individual's mental habit, meaning, these seminar cannot instantly change the participants' point of view.
